Welcome Argentina! 🇦🇷

Today we enjoyed a very special visit, Mila and Bruna’s mom, who is originally from the new country of the month, Argentina. With her, the children prepared a delicious Argentine dessert, alfajor! Through this preparation, we explored shapes, pattern creation, and quantities. The children had a great time. Thank you, Renata, for this first visit!

From the breakfast and gifts to the flowers and handmade cards every gesture made our teachers feel truly valued and like the superheroes they are. You made this week so special. Today, in honor of Cinco de Mayo, the children reflected on their learning about Mexico using the Reporter’s Notebook thinking strategy. They looked at photos and crafts, recalling what they saw and made, and remembered the red, white, and green flag.We also had music class, where the children enjoyed dancing and celebrating through movement!

I’m a fan of mime. I think it’s a very original form of artistic expression. Connected with France and the famous artist Marcel Marceu, I wanted to show the kids a bit of this type of art. Later, we used a thinking routine called “I See/I Think/I Wonder” about the French artist’s image, with which the children created different observations and descriptions.
